Technical SEO

Technical SEO is a form of SEO that focuses on the technical aspects of a website. It’s similar to how fresh engine oil keeps a car running; it’s often unseen but can significantly boost your website’s search results. Technical SEO ensures that your website is search engine crawler-friendly, has a fast page load time, and is mobile-friendly. It also optimizes the site for humans by ensuring that the structure, navigation, and internal links allow for easy viewing, as well as that meta tags are filled in so that both search engines and humans can understand what the page is about. If there are inconsistencies on your website in these places, it may stifle your rankings before the errors are corrected.

Benefits from fixing these mistakes, are:

Since the web is quicker and all relevant material and pages are readily available, users are spending more time on it.

Crawling activity from crawl bots has increased as the web has become easier to crawl, resulting in an increase in organic traffic over time.

Optimise your images

Make your photos search-engine-friendly by optimizing them to load quickly. Photos are crawled by search engines in addition to the text on your website. You can still show off stunning photography when optimizing your pictures. In reality, it makes it easier to show off and display your photos to potential customers. Image size reduction should be a top priority for your shop.

Building Menus

Use the menus to build an internal linking technique. Internal linking is easy to overlook, particularly in the early stages of developing your online store. Internal linking requires more than simply pasting links to related anchor text in your website. It’s all about building the pillar pages that will transfer authority to hundreds of other related website pages and blog posts, and vice versa. This can be accomplished with a simple navigation system that is optimized for both the user interface and search engine crawlers, which can be found on your homepage.

Create a product page.

Create the product listing and double-check that everything is right, from the title to the explanations to the SKUs and shipping details.

Adding to the Menu.

Add a link to the newly created page to the menu. Create a Collections Page, then drag and drop your new collection into the Shop navigation system.

Breadcrumbs are trails.

Add breadcrumbs to your store page navigation. This makes it easy to show your customers how far down your category tree they’ve gone. By clicking on the appropriate link on their “breadcrumb track,” they can easily return home. If you’re on a product’s page, for example, you can click “Buy” to return to the shop page.

Perform keyword research.

To get an idea of the monthly quest for that phrase, use a free SEO tool like Ubersuggest and type “your product name” into the keyword analyzer. Your new line of goods will be nested under a new category that we’ve discovered.

Show your Sitemap

Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and correct any errors on your website. You should sign up for Google Search Console. After you’ve done that, you’ll need to apply your sitemap. By submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console, search engines will be able to crawl and index your store. Simply put, a crawling bot visits your eCommerce site, explores the homepage, and then crawls down all of your product types, collections, and product pages before returning to the top. This is done so that they can appear on search engine results pages.

On-page SEO

On-page SEO (search engine optimization) is the most powerful way to tell readers and search engines precisely what your page is about. Search engines look for some on-page factors that can help them rank your page higher in the search results pages (SERPs). On-page considerations include, among other things, keyword and topic relevance, meta information, the slug in the page URL, and your photos.
